The pedestrian council just like anyone in power today, they feel they have the god damn given right to walk wherever they so please But at what cost The current marketing of road safety is to show ads that teach children to follow the ball onto the road in front of moving vehicles, and tell children they have the right do it, all they are doing is teaching children How to commit suicide I learnt at an early age that cars were dangerous, as a child when my mother had the shits with me, she would tell me to, go play with the traffic, so from a very early age I learnt, do not stand in front of a moving vehicle The debate about bull bars, the debate that a bulbar makes a car unsafe and will kill you, it will kill you If you stand in front of it If you stand in front of a motorcycle, a small car, a medium car, a large car, a police car, a four wheel drive, an Australia post truck, or a government bus If you stand in front of any moving vehicle You are simply committing suicide Walk to the curb, stop, look to the right, make sure there are no cars, look to the left, make sure there are no cars, look to the right again make sure there are no cars or the traffic has stopped If it is safe to do so Cross the road, always checking to see if other vehicles are about, walk don't run This simple technique has kept me alive for over thirty-five years maybe it can do the same for future generations of kids to come
